9th Annual Fishing Derby!
Bring your lawn chairs and fishing poles to the 9th Annual Gilberts Fishing Derby, Saturday August 6th at Memorial Park (355 Tyrell Road).
All ages welcome! Age groups are 8 and under, 9-13, 14-17, and 18+. Each age group will compete for a "biggest fish" trophy. There will also be one "overall biggest fish" trophy awarded. Register ($5 per entrant, includes bait) at 8 AM, fish 8:30 AM-9:30 AM, awards at 10 AM.
To keep it fair, everyone must use the bait that is provided.
Village Staff will be walking around the pond during the fishing time to take measurements of fish.
Free snacks and water will be provided!
