As many residents have noticed, AT&T has been working to install fiber optic service in Gilberts. Crews are currently working in the Timber Trails and Town Center areas, and work will continue over the coming weeks. The Village is also aware of several resident concerns regarding restoration efforts and we have been in communication with AT&T regarding those concerns. Prior to work taking place, AT&T crews leave door hangers at properties where work is taking place (sample included). Construction will occur within utility easements, which are located along most properties throughout the Village (typically in side-yards and the rear of backyards). The project will involve several steps, including utility locating, directional boring, cable placement, and finally cable splicing and testing. Please do not remove any flags, as they are necessary for marking underground utilities. Flags will typically be removed about one week after excavation is completed. Once all underground work is finished, restoration of affected areas will follow.
