New Local Government Transparency Project

The Illinois Policy Institute has created a transparency checklist in order to hold government and elected officials accountable to the citizens and taxpayers, providing a “best practices” framework intended to improve government transparency throughout the State of Illinois.  It is the objective of the Village of Gilberts to comply with these requirements, using the transparency checklist as a foundation for open government.  By providing as much data as possible through our website, residents can be better informed about what is going on in the Village of Gilberts.
